Partnering with Lehigh Valley Health Network, we created a series of visuals for out of home and conventions to promote their rehabilitation services. The subjects are people whose work depends on their bodies, blue collar workers who need to move to earn a living, and older adults whose recoveries tend to run slower. The network has built specialized post surgical protocols to get both groups back to their lives, and the visuals had to carry that promise.

Our Craft
We framed each subject in a moment of triumph, holding an x ray of their own surgery the way you would hold a diploma, proud of the injury because they beat it. We placed them at the summit of a mountain as proof of the climb. We deliberately avoided the genre default of hard contrast and heavy epic grading. Instead the look is softer, vibrant, and warm, built to read as hopeful and human rather than heroic in the usual clichéd sense.
